Project: Cyryl Zakrzewski
The Continuum series, as a set of objects with a unique, exclusive appearance, intrigues with the choice of material. Cyryl Zakrzewski used recycled plastic waste. This raises the question: what is modern luxury?
The “Noise” and “Nexus” objects contain plastic that is commonly used in disposable products. The properties of plastics, even recycled ones, remain unchanged for at least 300 years. So why is such a valuable material only associated with something waste and unnatural? Cyryl, using the possibilities of parametric design technology, creates bionic shapes from plastic plates that everyone associates only with the world of stone or wood. Boomplastic boards, individually developed for the project, show how fascinating a material plastic can be.
A luxurious collection of furniture designed by Cyryl Zakrzewski appeared at the Salone Satelite 2022 exhibition in Milan.

Organoid Cabinet is a functional sculpture – a cabinet made of recycled plastic, created from a Black Sloth board, set in a sculptural frame. The work was presented at the prestigious exhibition -“Notitle 03”, presenting selected works from Rossana Orlandi’s collection.

The MASURIA project was born during the work on the concept for the Guiltless Plastic competition. Our goal was to find a material that is a problem in the environment and at the same time is not recycled.
