The name MASURIA refers to both the sheet pattern and the bench. Why?
The MASURIA project was born during the work on the concept for the Guiltless Plastic competition. Our goal was to find a material that is a problem in the environment and at the same time is not recycled. This is how we discovered used polypropylene agricultural strings, which we obtained from a Masurian farm processing reed. Strings with organic contamination are often stored due to the lack of recycling options.
After numerous experiments, we managed to transform this material into an aesthetic and functional sheet. As a result, a bench was created, the ribbed form of which refers to the structure of reed blades. It was designed with public spaces and minimalist interiors in mind.
We called the sheet made of this innovative material MASURIA. Natural reed particles give it a unique character – delicate beige with subtle, brown flows. MASURIA is part of the SPECIAL collection, alongside the MARE and MARE BLACK designs.
The MASURIA design has met with great interest and won a distinction in the prestigious Guiltless Plastic competition. It was presented at exhibitions in Milan and Qatar, where it attracted the attention of both industry experts and the general public.
In response to numerous inquiries, we will soon present a new, refreshed version of this bench, enriched with new design variants.
